Our team of engineers, who are also avid mountaineers, trail runners, and climbers, set out to change that equation. We began by deconstructing every piece of equipment, applying aerospace principles and modern materials to shave weight without sacrificing an ounce of protection or utility. The Lighter philosophy was not just a goal; it became our identity and our driving design mandate from day one.

Our journey has been one of constant iteration and community feedback. We pioneered our Trading Post modular concept by observing how adventurers naturally hack and adapt their kits in the field. The development of our Perpetuals line came from a demand for gear that could survive a Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike and still be ready for another.
